The Common Knowledge Community Strategy

The Common Knowledge Community Strategy was developed in 2004 with the purpose to provide a single access point for communities to share information and improve knowledge, thereby raising awareness about the community sector in South Australia as a whole.

At the time and as a direct result of analysing CISA’s 2 main databases ie Community Services Directory (contacts) and Eventspool (event listings) combined with the existing and traditional need within the community sector for news and information sharing, the Common Knowledge Community Strategy was devised. The initial phase included the launch of the CK News Service.  This service provided community organisations equal online standing & promotion and lead to development of the SA Community Information Strategy, receiving CBSA government funding for development of the community search gateway.
